Mrs. Chili kept track of all the books she read in 2010 and has started a similar list for 2011. She reads quite a bit more than me! I like how she did it, and I think i am going to try to list what I read this year the same way. Right now I have a Library Thing listing of books I have read but well, I don’t really like it so much since I can’t seem to group the books I read.

The best books I read in 2010 were:

The Help by Kathryn Stockett
Water for Elephants by Sara Guren
The Birth of Venus by Sarah Dunant

I have started, “The Room” by Emma Donoghue but it is not riveting like I was expecting it to be. I am going to try and push through it but I would like something more engaging for when I am on vacation. A trip to B&N might be in order!

I also need to do something with my About Me page. Ah all good activities for the evenings when I am on vacation. Where I am going the nights are very quite – which I really like – and I am usually either reading on the lanai or taking care of things like my About Page!

  1. Don't know how far you are in The Room, but it gets more interesting as you gain insight into the situation.I just read The Nobodies Album by Carolyn Parkhurst. I thought it was engaging and enjoyed it, though the end was a little too pat for me. I also liked her book Lost and Found.
