I have had some things on my mind lately.
I have noticed that I feel incredibly comfortable in my not-so-new-anymore apartment. It feels like home in a way that it never felt for the 22 months I lived in the house Adam and I owned. I don’t think it has much to do with us separating since I always felt very “at home” in the place we lived before we bought our house. Maybe renting really is a better place for me.
I have been truly blessed with my landlord and his family in this place. He may not be perfect and I may wait forever for the extra back door key to be made, and have to remind him 10 times that the new front door is great but really it needs to be finished before spring, but when it comes to all the stuff that really matters, they are great.
My landlord is that he didn’t even bat an eye when I asked him about getting another dog! He said, “yes”. So that hurdle is crossed.
I am still leaning toward a Boston Terrier. All my reading says that a Boston Terrier does better being alone for some periods of time and is quieter. I think it really is the temperament of the dog. Of the three Boston terriers I know, none of them bark at all!
I mean LOOK at this face! Jayne the breeder I have been talking with has been so incredibly nice. It is definitely a nice change from some of the intial breeders I talked to (or never heard back from).

I look at it this way. If I can handle a 60-70 pound
Tazmanian Devil Labrador for the last 12 years, I think I can do it no matter what breed I go with.
